We stock i-Size car seats! What exactly is i-size and what does it mean?

The i-Size testing is a new EU standard for better child safety which includes the following:

  • Improved protection at higher forces for side and front impact – better protection of head and neck
  • Rearward travel from birth and up to 15 months
  • i-Size requires isofix so this eliminates incorrect installation of the seat belt system
  • Length of baby instead of kg’s because this stops children from up-sizing too early
  • Protect against side impact collisions – currently there are no performance checks that must be done for side impact collisions. A quarter of all collisions are side-impact so it is a very important benefit for these car seats!
